This operation includes 2 x Full Gulf of Saint Vincent (GSV) Prawn Licences that total 74 fully-tradeable fishing nights (2025 Season), with 20% of the nights allowed to be fished in the lucrative Pre-Christmas period (November and December) and the remainder of the nights fished, at operator discreation, from the start of March to the end of October. Management arrangements in the GSV Prawn Fishery enable Licence Holders to work within a flexible framework to meet peak market demand and run an efficient enterprise. The fishery is in close proximity to major markets and right on the doorstep of Adelaide.
The FV Anna Pearl is a 21.8m Prawn Trawl Vessel featuring a Cummins KTA-19 (currently derated to meet local regulations) and a modern and versatile configuration. The vessel is well suited to the requirements and scale of the GSV Prawn Fishery as well as having an operating history in the Commonwealth Northern Prawn Fishery (NPF). The vessel has the boom-span and power to accomodate and tow quad gear in the NPF. Further, a 2 metre extension to the stern of the vessel could be removed to be compliant with the 20m rule in the QLD East Coast Trawl Fishery.
